ALWAYS IN BLOOM

Walking the streets of New York City can sometimes feel like getting lost in an endless sea of concrete and buildings. But tucked away in the heart of Manhattan you’ll find a bright and colorful flower-filled getaway known as the New York City Flower District with its beginnings tracing back to more than 100 years ago. Although much smaller than what it once was, West 28th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenue), a home mostly to wholesalers, is still bustling with florists, retailers, event planners, artists, tourists, and more whenever you visit.

Located in the midst of all of this is Bill Frazer’s shop—Flowers on Essex. With an affinity toward flowers ever since he was a child, Bill has now worked with flowers for over sixty years. As both a retailer and wholesaler, Bill creates beautiful arrangements for people, events, and establishments around the city with love. Capturing the ephemeral beauty of flowers, he uplifts and brings joy to people through his craft.
